Yeah... but he wont. He's a nice guy, and he knows his code, but he seems to have been manipulated by Cathy into staying. He's one of the four participating in the dialogue. (Two for the team, two for the friends and one neutral)

I kinda doubt it. She's quite blatantly stated that SMF is her home. When actually, no it isn't. It's everyones home. I was actually quite offended by her statement regarding that. Nor will I ever forgive her for intentionally preventing me from becoming a team lead.

SMF was a great run, but I think it's finally time to move on. Thus, rises the Phoenix.

You could say that. Many of us have already jumped off into the lifeboats. But Cathy and a few others are going to stay on board.

Here's a post I made into the team boards back in June 2008 when I first considered on quitting. It's amazing on how much of it actually remains true. Basically, I felt that I would get flack for anything I said, and there are multiple cases where that held true, a few months after this post was made when we were promoting Curve, I refused to participate in advertising sigs, and I got flack for that, eventually Cathy apologised to me in regards to the being forced to beg for money event for the MOTM (I refused, very strongly, as you would expect, you know that I will not beg for money, unlike Slater), but it was already two years too late.

I try to be a little creative with my topic titles, so I named this one after a certain Simppy episode.

You've got a good point in that not all forum talk is to be about SMF. It takes all the fun out of forums.
In a comunity you have to mix work with fun. Sometimes it is during the coffee break people are most creative.
And if it is unpaid, volunteer work, then it is a little crazy to try to controle people all the time.

Exactly my views. If it's unpaid, why should I allow people to boss me around. If they gave me money, then fair enough.

I've fought the entire time single handed multiple times since I joined the team. I fought them because I knew they were trying to control me, and I was not going to have any of it. They had their views sure, and I listened them, but did I get the same in return? Hell no. I'm so very tempted to post a link to this topic on SM.org, demanding that a manager responds in this topic only. heh. I very much wanna see Nikki make sexual references and creep them out. :P

Anyway, I've outline numerous occasions before where I refused to participate in begging sigs, promo Curve sigs and such. Here's some other examples of me causing trouble :P

- I even outright told the then Cus Leader (and my new "boss"), Fustrate to just stay out of my way and not talk to me. Ever.
- And after the third instance of being told by SleePy to pick up activity or sod off, I just said to the entire team to "Shut the fuck up and leave me alone" this ended up in a page argument and I left. Nothing is good enough for them. And thanks to SleePy himself, I have proof of that.

You could say that they've done nothing but to fuel the flames of hatred of them within me. And that's perfectly true. I tried to keep them down for the sake of the community. But when the managers go around insulting not only me, but everyone else who has the SMF Friend badge, in public, I can see that I joined the wrong team.

Still, I hope things can be worked out. But I cant see it happening any time soon.
