Gary, you at least can't deny the fact that they look like Final Fantasy characters with yellow skin, I'm just saying.
Well, that was how they were built. And being a Final Fantasy based fangame, it does make sense for them to have some similarities. It's really that the sprites cant really be all that bigger. They do have to fit into proportion to everything around them you know.

They are about the same size as the sprite they used for Relm.
Detailing onto the Simpson sprites can always be added.
Like Jacob said:
Also, are you using a large party
The traditional party in Final Fantasy is 4 members, so that applies here. I would liked to have upto 5 to accommodate the entire family, at once, but it's not really worth it. Most of the time, you'll have less than 4, and your party is forced on you most of the time anyway.
cool status script?
Define that.
Any advanced victory screen scripts?
Yes. I've already posted shots of that.
You're probably using a Materia script...
No, do you see Materia as a selection in the Menu?
But I did have the idea that the Final Fantasy characters learn their abilities the same way they did in their original Final Fantasy Game.
So
II: Firion would learn his from Spellbook Tomes that you buy;
IV: Cecil and Kain would learn theirs by level up;
V: Bartz and Galuf would learn theirs from jobs;
VI: Locke, Terra, Cyan, Edgar, Would learn theirs from Magicite (Terra also learns certain spells on level up)
VII: Cloud and Zack, would learn from Materia
VIII: Squall, Rinoa, Zell, Quistis and Selphie would normally have to draw their magic but that system sucks, so I wouldn't dare include it.
X: Yuna would learn hers from the sphere grid.
But that's a lot of upkeep. The Simpsons Characters would learn their abilities from their equipment like in Final Fantasy IX. But doing it all by level up is simpler.
